Jonathan grew up in Maitland, Fla., with a love for aviation, but little did he know he would one day become a pilot and flight instructor.
As a child, he spent many weekend afternoons with his father at the Orlando International Airport fence line, looking at the roaring jets depart and land overhead. Though he was always fascinated with flight, his passion was architecture.
After attending Auburn University and flying back to Orlando with a family friend in an old Cessna 172, his interest in aviation was reignited.
To the dismay of his family, he decided aviation was his true passion and attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla., where he attained all his certificates and ratings.
After becoming a flight instructor, he and his wife, Taylor, moved back to Central Florida, where he joined the Gold Seal Aviation family.
As a Gold Seal Aviation flight instructor, Jonathan’s mission is to provide safe and comprehensive flight training to Gold Seal Aviation’s clientele, while fostering a friendship in the process.
With the intention to raise a family in the Orlando area, and therefore stay for years to come, Jon hopes to maintain the relationships he builds with clients long after training via fun flying sessions and hangar coffees.
Jon encourages all his clients to view him as not only a teacher but also a friend in the Orlando aviation community. He has two rules after every client finishes training: 1) fly safe, and 2) say hello to him when you see him around town.
